Free-Field Microphone Sets

Free-field microphones are ideal for measuring sound from loudspeakers or in open outdoor environments. To ensure accurate results under true free-field conditions—where no sound reflections interfere—measurements must be taken either outdoors at an elevated, unobstructed location (such as atop a pole) or within a professionally designed anechoic chamber.

At ZXONIC, we emphasize precision. Our free-field microphones are engineered for environments like anechoic chambers, where walls, ceiling, and floor are lined with high-performance sound-absorbing materials. This ensures that reflections are eliminated, allowing our microphones to capture direct sound pressure levels from the source with clarity and accuracy.

Each set combines a carefully matched microphone and preamplifier to ensure accurate performance as a unified system. All sets are equipped with a unique serial number and premier classes have integrated memory chip, supporting the TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) standard. This configuration enables seamless plug-and-play operation, automatic sensor recognition, and simplified system integration.
