Impedance Tube Kit 

ZX8903 Impedance Tube Kit is a complete solution for laboratory testing of acoustic materials using an impedance tube. It supports sound absorption coefficient measurement (transfer-function method) under normal-incidence conditions, and can also be configured for sound insulation measurement. The system is designed for fast, repeatable testing of small specimens, with clear software-guided operation, automated plotting, and report-ready results in accordance with ISO 10534-2 (and related references).

OverView

The ZX8903 kit is built around a modular ZXONIC measurement chain and PC software platform. It works with the ZXONIC ZX8005 Signal Generator, ZX6500 Series DAQ System, and ZX8702 Power Amplifier, and is operated via the ZXONIC Dynamic Signal Analyzer (PC software) under the Impedance Tube Analysis module.

Two tube configurations are available:

  • ZX8510L/S Impedance Tube: configured for normal-incidence sound absorption coefficient measurement using the two-microphone transfer-function method.

  • ZX8511L/S Impedance Tube System: includes ZX8510 and adds the required configuration to perform sound insulation measurement in addition to absorption testing.
     

The hardware and software provide a workflow with of transfer-function calculation, result visualization, data export, and report generation.
