Pressure-Field Microphone Sets

A pressure field refers to a sound field where the sound pressure remains uniform in both magnitude and phase throughout the space. Such conditions are typically found in small, enclosed volumes—significantly smaller than the sound wavelength—like those found in artificial ears or calibration cavities.

Pressure-field microphones are specifically designed for these environments and are commonly used in acoustic couplers, wind tunnel testing, or flush-mounted applications, where precise, localized pressure measurements are required.
